Cadiz is a real paradise in many ways. Everyone knows that the climate, gastronomy, places, entertainment and nightlife in Cadiz do not disappoint, but there are also good waves.

Obviously it’s not Hawaii, we do not have giant waves or the most famous surfers on the globe, but if you choose the dates well, you can match a fairly solid swell, and surf at a temperature that you can only dream of in the rest of Europe.

Surfing in Cádiz for experts or newbies

It does not matter if you want to start or if you want to hit a powerful surftrip through Spain and in this case Andalusia. The waves in Cadiz are of many forms and backgrounds and with the mobility that gives you travel in a campervan you can move to any of the areas to take full advantage of the direction of the swell and wind.v

If you are an experienced surfer we recommend several beaches that usually have powerful waves, both sand bottom and rocks and with adequate forecasts have nothing to envy to waves more famous the rest of Spain, even Europe.

The most important waves we advise for surfers with a certain level in the province are: Yerbabuena, El Palmar, Caños de Meca, Roche or Cadiz. There are many more, but these are usually the most consistent and easily accessible.

Surfing schools

Schools abound throughout the province and depending on where you want to “set up camp” you have many variants. From Cádiz, passing through Chiclana, Conil or El Palmar you will find very good schools where you can enroll in a course of several days or a week (or several) in which you will be provided with everything you need to practice it with the appropriate security measures and Always under the supervision of federated professionals.
